Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to have an appointment?

Especially during our busiest time of the year our tax professionals have highly structured schedules that do not typically allow for unscheduled meetings and inquiries. However, part of that schedule sets time aside to call clients who may have a quick question.  We also offer completely remote service for clients who prefer not to have a formal tax appointment.

How can I get my documents to you?

As long as the documents are legible, we don't need original copies.  Physical documents may be mailed, handed to our front desk staff, or dropped in our secure lock box on our suite door after business hours.  We also offer a secure client portal to upload digital copies of your documents.  If you prefer to upload, our client portal has a convient phone app if you do not have access to a scanner.

What are your hours?  Can I get a Saturday appointment?

Our office has seasonal hours of operation.

From about the middle of January until the middle of April our office hours are 9am to 6pm Monday through Friday with Saturday appointments available at upon request.

During the rest of the year our office hours are 9am to 4pm Monday thorugh Thursday with Friday and Saturday appointments available upon request.

Our office observes most federal holidays and is closed between Christmas and New Year's day.

Do my business records have to be in accounting software?

For most business entity tax returns we prefer traditional accounting reports and financial statements.  However, there may be some instances where other forms of information may be sufficiently acceptable.

Can I get tax advice if I'm not a client?

Our primary focus is our tax clients, but we do offer consultations to non-tax clients at a rate of $300 per hour.  Consultations must be scheduled during time not otherwise committed to tax preparation services.
